 Details of BITSAT-2024:
A “computer-based online test” involves the candidate sitting in front of a computer, where the questions are displayed on a monitor and they must be answered with a keyboard or mouse. A server, which is connected to each computer, creates the question set and sends it to the candidate’s computer. This is not the same as the conventional paper-pencil test, which is often given to all candidates on a single day. Key characteristics of BITSAT-2024 are listed below:
Â
A candidate may participate in BITSAT-2024 a maximum of twice.
The test will take place across two dates, BITSAT Sessions 1 and 2, which will be spaced apart by a few weeks. As stated further in this text, the candidate may select the Center, Day, and Time of the test that is most convenient for them.
Even at the time of the initial application, a candidate may choose to make two appearances. Next, from the first set of dates, this applicant will select one slot, and from the second, another.
ï‚·A candidate may choose “BOTH” or “Session 1.”
A candidate may also decide to make a second appearance following their initial one. In order to streamline the process, candidates who participated in Session 1 but did not initially utilize their option to appear twice will have the opportunity to apply for a second appearance.
As stated in “Important dates and deadlines#” below, those who did not apply or present in Session-1 may still apply to appear in Session-2 during the second application window.
Following the first date of BITSAT Session-1, the application window will reopen immediately for Session-2.
Should a candidate decide to run twice, they will be required to pay an amount equal to Rs. 4400 for female candidates and Rs. 5400 for male candidates.
A candidate will pay a cost of Rs. 2900 (for a female candidate) and Rs. 3400 (for a male candidate) if they want to appear once (in either Session 1 or Session 2).
A candidate will be required to pay an additional amount of Rs. 2000 (for male candidates) and Rs. 1500 (for female candidates) if they choose to appear in Session-1 only and subsequently choose to apply separately to appear in Session-2.
The application fee cannot be transferred or refunded.
When a candidate appears twice in BITSAT-2024 and subsequently applies to any of BITS Pilani’s First Degree programs, the greater of the two results will be taken into account for admission.Â
